Lipstick Jungle

I have spent the last two odd weeks shuffling between long work hours, struggled me time and Lipstick Jungle.

Here is the story of three friends who rush between spouts of success and love that intermingle in the heat of their individual lives. If you are a woman, driven and at the same time lost in the labyrinth of your existence, these series of events will pull a portion of your heart strings, but only if you are engrosed enough. Victory, Wendy and Nico are characters that reflect the modern day motivations that describe what a woman wants. The story is bright, bold and brings hope to the many many out there, panting in breathlessness as they struggle up, one ladder bar at a time.

Although there are times when the tale seems predictable, or unrealistic or even tacky, the portrayed psychology of three best girl friends are matching, almost to a tee - atleast almost almost.

For me, Lipstick Jungle was a self discovery of my own little inner circle and all that has transpired between us. Nights with our own glasses of Sangria, talks of kick boxing classes, black stilettoes and relationships, have made me realise that we share something unconditional and comfortable, contradicting my every statement of how women can never be good friends.

My dears. Freckles and Opium. Cheers!
